Flourescent lighting burns at very low temperatures next to HID lighting. This means lights can be placed within inches of the plant ensuring minimum lumen wasteage. With the exception of the red spectrum Envirolite (Compact Flourescent), flourescent lights give off the perfect spectrum for vegetative growth and are ideal for mother plants and clones.
