As hydroponic growers use no soil or compost, fertilisers must be used. There are many on the market so choosing nutrients can be pretty difficult. For first timers, we usually recommend Ionic. This is because it is a one part nutrient and therefore very simple to use. Most of the others are two part formulas.

Every nutrient has its own specific differences and we indicate what some of them are in each product's listing.
